Training Academy

At Little Barn Owls Nurseries, we hold visit days for professionals in the childcare sector. These days allow other nurseries to send their staff to our nurseries for a day of learning, observation and reflection.

Our multi-award winning nursery offers a number of professional development opportunities through our Training School opened in May 2015. We offer a range of opportunities from short courses and bespoke consultancy, to visit days for small groups to larger professional development events. For more information about our upcoming professional development events, please check out our Events page.

Our courses have been developed to reflect our unique values and passion for enquiry-based learning, the Reggio Emilia approach, outdoor learning philosophies and great leadership. Hayley, Charlotte and the Training Team often present work from around the nursery group to early years events which are announced via our ‘NEWS’ page, social media accounts and mailing list.

Please contact Kristie on training@littlebarnowls.co.uk for more information.

The most inspirational training course I’ve ever been to.

Educator from Cheeky Monkey’s, Jersey

I came with lots of questions and I’m leaving feeling very inspired and excited to move forward.

Atelierista, London

The time the team give to support these visits is amazing. Having time to sit, reflect and observe is essential and crucial to underpin the dialogues taking place. This really helps to understand the core ability of the children and how the ethos is truly understood by all.

Professor at the University of Greenwich

The setting is wonderful, you fall in love the minute you walk in.

Educator, London

Amazing day, we’ve got so much out of it, we’ve booked again.

Tiny Tribes, Birmingham

I feel like I’ve just seen what the future of Early Years should look like!
